Selam! Hello! My name is Getachew!

I look forward to welcoming you to my beautiful country of Ethiopia and helping you discover some of the most magical places in the world.

I come from the UNESCO Heritage City of Lalibela, located in the mountainous region of Northern Amhara, approximatley 650 km north of our national capital, Addis Ababa.    Known around the world for its 11 medieval rock-hewn churches, Lalibela is also referred to as "New Jerusalem" and is an important place of spirtuality for our pilgrims.

From an early age I have loved welcoming tourists from around the world to visit my country which has motivated me to become a local tour guide.

I am excited to meet you and to show you some of my favourite places!

As a fully qualified tour guide, I am certified by the Ethiopian Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for "Tourism Services."
